Wallabies duo Nic White and Ben Donaldson played an influential role in the Western Force’s 40-31 win over the Reds to claim their first vitory of the season.

The hosts scored tries through a brace each from Bayley Kuenzle and Carlo Tizzano, whilst Chase Tiatia and White also crossed the whitewash with Donaldson nailing five conversions.

It was the Force that got out of the blocks first through winger Kuenzle’s first try in the 15th minute with Donaldson adding the extras before Tizzano’s first five-pointer after 24 minutes. The Wallabies fly-half made no mistake from the tee again.

Tiatia scored his try for the Force with a converted effort around the half-hour mark before McDermott responded with the first points for the Reds with five minutes to go to the break. The Force, however, would have the final say in the first period through a converted White try.

Reds star McDermott was a problem again for the Force straight after the break scoring only two minutes in but that was cancelled out by Kuenzle’s second ty just a minute later. The seesaw would swing again as Faessler scored in the 50th minute which was once again cancelled out by a Force try with Tizzano completing his double.

It would be all the Reds from there as they chased the result with McReight and Campbell tries in the last 20 minutes but the lead was too big to catch as the Force claimed the win at home.
