Quiz: Name every Six Nations Player of the Championship winner since 2004
Following the announcement of the 2024 Six Nations Player of the Championship, we challenge you to name the previous winners of the prestigious award.
The award was introduced back in 2004, and each year, an expert panel selects a shortlist of players, which then goes to a public vote, with the winner crowned after Super Saturday.
This year’s winner of the award became the first Italian to claim the honour since 2013.
Six Nations Player of the Championship history
Ireland has produced the most winners of the award through the years, claiming it on seven occasions.
In fact the very first award was presented to an Ireland player while two players from different nations have claimed the top honour on three separate occasions.
The latest Six Nations Player of the Championship is just the second Italian to ever collect the gong.
Two stars of the tournament have also claimed the individual honour in back-to-back Six Nations.
Five Welshmen have claimed the illustrious accolade while two Scotland players have been crowned Player of the Championship.
Since 2004, 16 backline players have claimed the prestigious individual award, while just five forwards have received the accolade for their performances in the Championship.
The 2023 Six Nations Player of the Championship did not feature in the 2024 tournament, meaning he missed the opportunity to become the first player to collect the award three times in a row.
