As we head into the latter stages of the 2023/24 Investec Champions Cup season, we challenge you to name every club that has won the top prize in European club rugby.

The tournament debuted in 1995 as rugby stepped into the professional era, with 12 sides battling it out in what was then called the Heineken Cup.

Since then, 13 clubs have gone on to lift the trophy, with eight sides doing so on more than one occasion.

Meanwhile, one coach has won the tournament a record four times throughout the years.

Throughout the Champions Cup’s history, several teams have claimed back-to-back titles, but only one has ever completed the three-peat.

The Top 14 clubs have been the most successful of the participating nations, with the title going to a French side on 11 occasions.

The Irish provinces have won the Champions Cup on seven occasions, while the English have done so ten times.

Two French teams share the unfortunate record of the most finals appearances without winning the tournament and reaching the finale on three occasions.

Two other French clubs have also made the finals on two occasions without lifting the trophy after the final whistle.

The newest addition to the winners’ list also became the newest team to defend their Champions Cup title successfully.

Finally, the first team to ever win the tournament are also the team that has won it the most times.
