The final round of the 2024 Six Nations is upon us, with teams fiercely vying for their final placings, and millions of pounds are at stake, adding an additional edge to Super Saturday.

According to a report by RMC Sport, the six teams will share the €12 million jackpot (about £10 million), with the winner obviously taking home the biggest share.

Not one of the final finishing positions has officially been secured ahead of Super Saturday, with England, Scotland, and France still mathematically in with a chance of snatching the title from Ireland.

Meanwhile, Italy could finish as high as third – which would be their highest-ever placing – but a defeat could see them finish sixth as they collide with Wales, who aim to avoid a first Six Nations wooden spoon finish in 21 years.

A victory for any team this weekend would provide a significant financial boost, a prize most could do with, underlining the additional high stakes of the tournament.

According to RMC Sport, the winner of the 2024 Six Nations will claim a €3.5 million (about £3 million) prize, which Ireland can secure with a victory over Scotland.

If Ireland defeats Scotland and clinches the title, France and England will clash in a straight shootout for second place. The victor in Lyon will take home €2.8 million (around £2.39 million).

Third place will still take home a handsome £2 million (~£1.71 million), and fourth place claiming £1.6 million (~£1.37 million).

The last-placed team in the Six Nations will also receive a fee, which the report states is €800,000 (around £690,000). Fifth place will win €1.2 million (about £1.03 million).

The final round of the Championship kicks off in Cardiff as Wales go in search of their first victory of 2024 against an Italian side that drew to France and defeated Scotland in their last two fixtures.

Ireland will look to bounce back from their defeat to England and seal the title when they host Scotland in Dublin in the second game.

The tournament concludes in Lyon, where France and England lock horns in Le Crunch.
